The Maurice Tobin K-8 School and Tutors for All began their partnership at the beginning of the 2012 fall semester by offering academic support in math and literacy to students identified as being in need of remedial skill building in grade 6. This partnership continued through the spring 2011 semester. Because the student cohort from the 2010-2011 school year programs showed such significant growth in math, TObin and Tutors for All decided to focus tutorial solely on Math during the 2011-2012 school year. Tutorial ran twice a week and each math tutorial session was sixty-five minutes.
Tutors for All ran weekday programs at the Maurice Tobin K-8 School during the 2011-2012 school year. Students received math tutorial two afternoons a week. The overwhelming majority of 6th graders were served. 2012 MCAS results showed 6th grade students achieving an MSGP of 87, while un-served students earned an MSGP of 61 and comparative 6 th graders in Boston Public Schools had an MSGP of 54.
